PART 2 : The Truth Arrived at the Wedding

PART 2 : The Truth Arrived at the Wedding

For the first time in decades, Eleanor Montgomery looked afraid.

The shattered glass echoed through the mansion as every conversation stopped.

All eyes turned toward the three little boys standing beside me.

Their identical gray eyes, dark wavy hair, and unmistakable Montgomery features made the truth impossible to ignore.

Ethan stood frozen at the altar.

His face had gone completely pale.

His bride, Caroline, stared from him to the children, desperately waiting for an explanation.

Liam grabbed my hand.

“Mama… why is everyone looking at us?”

I squeezed his fingers.

“Because sometimes the truth arrives when nobody is prepared for it.”

A nervous whisper moved through the crowd.

One of Ethan’s uncles removed his glasses and stared at the boys.

“They look exactly like him.”

Eleanor hurried toward us, trying to hide her panic behind a polite smile.

“You certainly know how to make an entrance,” she said.

“I learned from the best,” I replied.

Her eyes remained fixed on the children.

“What are their names?”

Before I could answer, Caleb stepped forward.

“My name is Caleb. This is Noah. And that’s Liam.”

Then he smiled innocently.

“Our daddy’s name is Ethan Montgomery.”

The room went completely silent.

A champagne glass slipped from someone’s hand and shattered on the floor.

Caroline slowly turned toward Ethan.

“Ethan…?”

He said nothing.

Then the estate gates opened.

A black luxury sedan drove into the courtyard.

An elderly man in an immaculate suit stepped out, carrying a sealed leather portfolio.

He walked into the mansion and calmly announced:

“I’m looking for Mrs. Eleanor Montgomery.”

Eleanor stiffened.

“I’m Eleanor.”

The man held out the portfolio.

“I have documents that must be presented before this marriage can legally continue.”

Her confident expression vanished.

Ethan stared at the sealed folder.

Caroline looked completely confused.

And I realized the children weren’t the only secret that had arrived at the wedding.

The documents inside that portfolio were about to expose a truth Eleanor had spent decades trying to bury.
